North Scotland HIO Pairs – Castle Stuart & Nairn Golf Courses

We are delighted to launch our North Scotland 36 Hole HIO Pairs event in 2025.

Heading up to the untamed and rugged Moray Firth coastline, a golfing destination that will stay long in the memory for all our players competing over two of the finest golf courses in the world.

All competing pairs will enjoy playing two rounds one over Cabot Highlands formerly known as Castle Stuart and one over Nairn Golf Club host to the 1999 Walker Cup matches.

* To participate in any HIO Pairs Event all players must have a WHS Congu Handicap.
Please Note: You do not have to have scored a Hole in One to enter our pairs events*

Our winning Pair will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2026 Grand Final at TPC Sawgrass.

The Hole In One Club are delighted to announce this must play pairs event, with 2 x Rounds over Cabot Highlands Golf Course and 1 Round over Nairn Golf Club.

Cabot Highlands (Formerly known as Castle Stuart)

Cabot Highlands (formerly Castle Stuart Golf Links) is a must play for anyone wanting to experience stunning links golf in the Highlands of Scotland. Consistently ranked in The Top 100 Golf Courses in the World, Cabot Highlands has welcomed the world’s best as host of The Scottish Open with both Luke Donald and Phil Mickelson amongst past champions on the course.

Designed by Gil Hanse and opened by golf course developer Mark Parsinen who had also created Kingsbarns Golf Links, Cabot Highlands is a course that utilises modern design with the traditional links experiences you’ll get at some of the best links courses in the world.

Located just a few minutes from Inverness and its airport, the views from the course of the Moray Firth are spectacular and we are delighted to offer two rounds of tournament golf over this award winning bucket list experience.

Nairn Golf Club (Championship)
This traditional Links Course was created form a wilderness of whins and heather and challenges the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887 and added to and extended by Archie Simpson, Old Tom Morris and James Braid it is now one of the best courses in Scotland. It is regularly chosen for national championships, including the Scottish Amateur, Scottish Professional and in 1994 hosted the ‘Blue Riband’ of the Amateur Calendar the ‘Amateur’ Championship. Nairn hosted the 37th Walker cup in 1999.

54 Hole Tournament Pairs Betterball Stableford
Max playing handicap index 24 for Men 36 for Ladies.
85% Handicap Allowance
All players must have an active WHS Handicap
The Event is open to Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Pairs over the age of 18 years and above

Booking Conditions

Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with HIO Events Limited and set out our respective rights and obligations.

A £200.00 deposit per amateur player will secure your team place in to the event with a further the final balance due on or before the 1st February 2025.

Upon receipt of entry a written confirmation will be issued.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all insurance requirements. It is your responsibility to check current regulations and if our company incurs fines or surcharges as a result of your negligence you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorized by us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.
