Dundonald Links HIO Pairs

2025 will see our first visit to the outstanding Dundonald Links Resort. Our package offers two fantastic rounds of competitive golf over the Championship course and an overnight stay at the amazing venue.

The event will be played on the famous Championship Course home to the Final Qualifying for the Open Championship, 2017 Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open won by Rafa Cabrera Bello and in 2022 the Asset Trust Women’s Scottish Open.

The event is open to all Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Pairs

* To participate in any HIO Pairs Event all players must have an official WHS Handicap Index from your golf club or from an iGolf subscription. Please Note: You do not have to have scored a Hole in One to enter our pairs events*

Our winning Pair will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2024 Grand Final at TPC Sawgrass.

The Hole In One Club are delighted to announce this must play event, a 36 Hole Pairs Event with rounds over the Championship Course.

Links Bedroom Accommodation

The Links bedrooms are just a swing away from the clubhouse itself, and equipped with everything the modern golfer might need. Each suite incorporates subtle reflections of the surrounding landscape of Scotland.

Each Links room is fully-equipped with every amenity and appliance that our guests may need during their visit. A flatscreen HD television and desk ensures that our players can remain independent and undisturbed during their time with us.  In addition to the comforts you need, like a luxurious double bed, soft plush seating, and your personal private en-suite.

Links rooms have been expertly designed to provide convenient, tucked-away storage for your golf clubs while you rest. In addition, each suite has an outdoor terrace area for guests to enjoy a refreshing drink, whilst reminiscing over the days golf.

Luxury Golf Lodges at Dundonald Links (Ranging from Two to Six Bedrooms) 

Each of the luxury lodges are custom-built, to offer both timeless style and ultimate comfort for golfers. The lodges vary in size and location across the course, and each has been beautifully designed to offer our players the perfect space to relax and unwind during their stay.

Drawing on the history of the sport for creative inspiration means that our lodges present a truly unique stay. From the little things, like a designated equipment room for storing golf clubs, to centering our lodges around a putting green for convenient practice, we know what our guests need to be truly comfortable.

From the plush furnishings and contemporary decor, creativity and indulgent comfort fill every inch of the lodge accommodation, offering you a perfectly peaceful stay. Sleek, modern kitchen appliances are combined with light open-plan layouts and luxurious bedroom suites to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as you want it to be.

Dundonald Links Golf Course

The first Dundonald Links layout was designed by Open Champion Willie Fernie, and opened on March 23rd, 1911. At 6700 yards, it was one of the  longest golf courses of its time. Following two World Wars, the site was almost unrecognisable.

Dundonald Links was purchased by Loch Lomond Golf Club in early 2003 to provide its global Membership with a traditional links challenge. They enlisted California-based architect Kyle Phillips, who had recently built Kingsbarns, to create a links masterpiece right here on the Ayrshire coast.

With the stunning coastal land that presented itself to Kyle Phillips, he saw the opportunity to create the ultimate modern links layout. Featuring everything you would expect from a world class modern links course, Dundonald Links has wonderful undulations, deep rough, a generous helping of gorse bushes and unlike many traditional links courses, there are areas of the course that are framed by stunning pine trees.

Daily Spot Prizes for leading 1st & 2nd round scores

Booking Conditions

Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with HIO Events Limited 2024 and set out our respective rights and obligations.

A deposit payment of £100.00 per player will secure a place into the event with full payment is required on or before the 1st February 2025. Refunds will be offered if you need to cancel before this stipulated cancellation date.. The Hole In One Club will refund all monies if the event is unable to go ahead due to government covid19 restrictions on either the golf or accommodation. If the format of the event has to be changed you will have the option of continuing with your booking or cancelling it.

Upon receipt of entry and deposit a written confirmation will be issued.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorized by us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal golf/travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.
