Where can I score the hole in one?
In any official club competition at an affiliated golf club, from the competition tee of the day, on a hole over 100 yards. Your own club's comps count and so do all of our events. Matchplay doesn't count.
What happens after I hit one?
It needs to be witnessed by your playing partners and verified in writing on the official HIO claim form, signed by the players and a club official, with the round showing in your club's competition software. Claim it at hio-club.com/pages/claim-now. Every verified ace wins a place at the National Playoff Final, and the winners there take the Grand Final trip to TPC Sawgrass.
What does the trip include?
Return flights from the UK, internal transfers, four nights bed and breakfast, two rounds of tournament golf at TPC Sawgrass plus a practice round, and the gala presentation dinner.
Who is eligible?
Amateur golfers aged 16 or over, resident in the UK or Ireland, who are a member of an affiliated golf club with an active or inactive WHS handicap. You must be an HIO Club member at the moment you score the ace.
How much is membership?
£10 a year, £25 for three years, or £40 for five years in one go. No contract, no setup fee. Cancel anytime.
Does my playing partner need to be a member for your events?
Yes. Our events are pairs golf and both players need a membership. It is £10 each, so send them this page.
What do your events cost?
Event entry is separate from membership and varies by venue. 1-day pairs events typically run £49 to £165 per person. Multi-day events at the premium venues range up to £560 per person.
