About This Course
The Bracken Course, which opened in 1998, has evolved into a course of exceptional finesse that is appreciated and enjoyed every day by golfers of all abilities. Hewn from a contrasting landscape of woodland and arable farmland, the fairways and greenside bunkers are more generous than those of The Hotchkin Course, while the large, welcoming greens are more approachable yet require thought and touch to master the true-rolling putting surfaces.

About This Course
This impressive ranking is well deserved, offering an array of stunning holes from start to finish. There truly isn’t a bad hole, this heathland layout is famous for its dramatic bunkers and natural beauty. You can guarantee a true but enjoyable test of golf at The Hotchkin.
The course's 18 holes underwent renovation by famous golf architect Tom Doak which was completed in April 2020. The project restored many of the original features and created the traditional rustic look of a heathland course. A bucket list must play destination in 2026.

Built in 1880, The Golf Hotel Woodhall Spa is set in 7 acres of well kept gardens, lawns and woodlands in the heart of Lincolnshire.
With dark wood furnishings, rooms at The Golf Hotel Woodhall Spa each have a satellite TV, trouser press and free tea and coffee. Each private bathroom includes a hairdryer.
Set next to the golf course, guests are also only 0.2 miles from the village’s restaurants. The Golf Hotel is 20 miles from historic Lincoln, with its impressive city center cathedral.

Everything you need to know before booking
Yes, all golfers will need to be a member. This can be purchased for just £10 for the year. This can be paid for pre-events or on the day of the event. The membership comes with great additional perks.
A deposit payment of £100.00 per player will secure a place into the event with full payment due 60 days prior to the event. To book with a deposit, please contact us by email at graeme@hio-club.com.
The event is open to all Men's, Women's and Mixed Pairs. You do not need to have scored a Hole in One to enter any of our events.
Max Handicap Men 24, Ladies 36 – 85% Allowance. You will need to have played 6 formal competitions in the 12 months preceding the event to be eligible for prizes.
The winning pair will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club Grand Final at TPC Sawgrass. If the event has 6 or more Mixed/Women's Pairs we will offer a separate qualification section.
Yes, whenever possible we will send all scores back to your governing body via Golf Genius.
Yes, you can select a preferred Round 1 tee time and receive tee time notification for multi day events.
Yes, absolutely we will do our best to partner up single players, just let us know.
Generally, three months before the event date.
All players will receive a Digital Tournament Booklet approximately one month before the event date, detailing tee times, prizes and a full itinerary.
The playoff venue generally changes every year and is held in April/May the following season.
Our pairs champions will enjoy the trip of a lifetime the following year in September.
