All HIO-Club events are open to golfers of all ages, both male+female and you don't need to have scored a Hole in 1 to participate in our events :)

Your golf experience is £239 per person – you can book it easily by adding your tee time to your cart and checking out on our website. Accommodation Package £369.00 per person including 1 x night’s stay in a Close House Courtyard Bedroom (Twin/Double) including Dinner Bed & Breakfast

Qualifiers are open to all Men, Women and Mixed Pairs over the age of
18 years and above.

The winning pair will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2026 Grand Final to TPC Sawgrass.
Please Note: If the event has 6 x or more Mixed/Women’s Pairs we will offer a separate qualification section.

Close House (Colt Course)

The Lee Westwood Colt Course is 7,000 yards in length from the championship tees, having already held two European Tour events and one Asian Tour event, the course has proved to be both enjoyable and challenging for golfers of all abilities. Gaining a place in the UK’s top 100 golf courses, the Lee Westwood Colt Course provides one of the most varied challenges on the golfing map, so much so that it is recognised for being the home of championship golf in the North East.

Northumberland Golf Club

The wonderful Northumberland Golf Club located in beautiful Tyne and Wear, is a Par 72 measuring 6687 yards. The Northumberland regularly hosts national and regional championships and qualifiers, including The Open Championship Qualifying Series and in 2025 The DP World Tour Qualifying School. Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Harry Shapland Colt and James Braid it offers the very best in British heritage course design. Always wonderfully presented with its firm, fast greens and strategic bunkering and conveniently located within the Newcastle Racecourse Estate on the outskirts of the city.
