Wales 3 Days HIO Pairs – Royal St. David’s, Nefyn and Conwy Golf Clubs

Welcome to our 2024 Wales 3 Day HIO Pairs.

Our event welcomes all pairs to enjoy playing three of finest links courses in North Wales, much like the outer reaches of Scotland or Ireland, the north of Wales is a golfing region that falls easily into the category of ‘Hidden Gem’, such as the quality of golf on offer in this gloriously unspoilt corner of the Principality. Characterised largely by the rugged coastline and backdrop of the impressive Snowdonia National Park.

The tournament will be played over Royal St. David’s Golf Club (Ranked NO2 Course in Wales), Nefyn Golf Club highly rated and offering a unique and spectacular challenge, and finishing at Conwy Golf Club (Host to the 2021 Curtis Cup).

* To participate in any HIO Pairs Event all players must have a WHS Congu Handicap. Please Note: You do not have to have scored a Hole in One to enter our pairs events*

Our winning Pair will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2025 Grand Final at TPC Sawgrass.

The Hole In One Club are delighted to announce this must play pairs event, with 1 Round over Royal St. David’s Golf Club, 1 Round over Nefyn (Championship Course) and 1 Round over Conwy GC.

The Golf Courses

Royal St. David’s Golf Club
Established in 1894, the Harlech links has long been ranked within the ‘Top Fifty’ of British golf courses, and most recently ranked 2nd in the Top 50 Courses in Wales by Golf World. The setting is matchless, and the golfing challenge of equivalent grandeur: over the years nearly eighty championships of national or international stature have been played at Harlech.

Nefyn Golf Club
Similarly to Old Head at Kinsale, Nefyn offers amazing sea views on three sides from the promontory, and keeping your eyes on the course in front of you can be the biggest challenge. Originally a nine hole course, Nefyn was extended by the revered duo of James Braid and J.H. Taylor, and now boasts 26 holes. Unusually, Nefyn has a standard outward ten holes, and two different inward sets of 8 holes, which adds much to the experience.

Conwy Golf Club
A unique golfing experience on a championship links course. We invite you to face the challenge, admire the scenery and enjoy the welcome.

Conwy Golf Club is a championship links golf course and a suitable finale to our pairs event. The stunning location on the North Wales Coastline combined with the challenging links Golf course will provide a memorable experience for all golfers, and our aim is to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and rewarding final day.

Arrive and check in at Conwy Golf Club – 1st Tee Time – 9.33am
Final Round played over the Championship Links Course

Teams of 2 Amateurs
54 Hole Tournament Pairs Betterball Stableford
Max playing handicap index 24 for Men 36 for Ladies.
85% Handicap Allowance
All players must have an active WHS Handicap
The Event is open to Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Pairs over the age of 18 years and above

Booking Conditions

Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with HIO Events Limited and set out our respective rights and obligations.

A £200.00 deposit per amateur player will secure your team place in to the event with a further the final balance due on or before the 1st July 2024.

Upon receipt of entry a written confirmation will be issued.

In the event that the pairs event being cancelled due to any Covid 19 restrictions in place on travel or golf all teams will be offered alternative dates or a full refund if not wishing to continue with their booking.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all insurance, and Covid health requirements. It is your responsibility to check current regulations and if our company incurs fines or surcharges as a result of your negligence you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorized by us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.
