The Golf Courses
Scotscraig Golf Club
Originally founded in 1813, Scotscraig is home to the 13th oldest golf club in the world and an exceptional golf course. It is more of a cross between links and heathland, but its proximity to the sea ensures it is buffeted by the coastal winds.
With Scotscraig being a Final Open Qualifying venue, it allows for a fabulous test of golf. The course was redesigned with the assistance of James Braid in 1923 and more recent changes have seen gorse removed, which allows for a more links style feel and open play.
Monifieth Golf Club – Medal Course
Built upon undulating links Monifieth Golf Links features two fantastic courses offering varying levels of difficulty. Administered by a local trust, both courses have fast and firm greens and unusually have tree-lined fairways – rare for links courses. The Club was officially formed in 1858, making it one of the oldest in Scotland.
Renowned for being difficult to play, the Medal Course at Monifieth Golf Links has gorse covered dune ridges between fairways, deep bunkers and fast greens, making it a true links test. The first few holes provides golfers with a fantastic view of the railway line situated alongside the course and out-of-bounds areas. Once players finish the front nine, they’ll be rewarded with a less demanding back nine offering a stretch of stunning holes highlighting the natural landscape.
Fairmont St Andrews – Kittocks Course
The Kittocks, formerly called The Devlin, opened in 2001, originally designed by Bruce Devlin, the Australian professional golfer, sportscaster and designer of Kings Course at Gleneagles. This stunning coastal course has recently been upgraded to present 18 wonderfully challenging holes, many running along the coastline. It offers spectacular views across the Eden Estuary and North Sea.
This is a long, tricky course requires nerves of steel. Its dramatic views and undulating terrain can be played from four sets of tees, and the famous St Andrews wind accompanies you every step of the way. All this makes The Kittocks the ideal venue for our Final Pro-Am round with unforgettable memories of St Andrews.
Malmaison Hotel Dundee
Nestled in the lively heart of Scotland’s fourth-largest city and perched on the banks of the charming River Tay, Malmaison Dundee is a haven of sophistication and style. This hotel, just a casual stroll from popular attractions like the V&A Dundee museum, RRS Discovery, and the Caird Hall concert venue, is your perfect Scottish getaway.
Malmaison Dundee’s rooms spell style and comfort, with options including standard rooms, club rooms, and suites. Each space is a tribute to luxury, boasting plush bedding, modern decor, and a wealth of amenities like flat-screen TVs, minibars, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

AIG Women’s Open – Old Course St Andrews
Through our official travel partners Golfbreaks all pro-am players will receive complimentary tickets to watch the final round of the Women’s Open at the Old Course St Andrews. Watch the drama unfold and be their when one player will stand above the rest to lift the AIG Women’s Open trophy.
It will be the third time the iconic Old Course will have staged the prestigious Championship.
American Stacy Lewis was the victor in 2013, closing with back-to-back birdies to register an unassailable clubhouse lead of eight-under-par.
She said: “I love this golf course more than any other links course I’ve played.
“I think it’s more the history of it than anything, just knowing all the great champions have played here. Golf was started here.”
Lorena Ochoa was the first player to win the Championship at St Andrews in 2007.
The Mexican star led from the ninth hole of the opening round, eventually finishing four shots clear of the chasing pack on five-under-par.
Nineteen different venues have hosted the AIG Women’s Open since its inception in 1976 but perhaps none more revered than the famed links at St Andrews.
