We are delighted to welcome all teams to the amazing city of Rome for our Marco Simone Tournament Experience Pro-Am in 2023. We have secured two rounds over the Ryder Cup course including the final day before it closes for the historic match.

A must for any golf enthusiast looking to combine a tournament Pro-Am experience over two amazing championship courses, combined with sumptuous food, famous attractions and the opportunity to explore the treasures and lesser-known wonders that the fantastic city of Rome has to offer.

Our 54 Hole Pro-Am Tournament includes two rounds over the Marco Simone Ryder Cup Course set up to enjoy playing the course in Tournament Conditions just four weeks before the worlds biggest golf stars walk in your footsteps, and a round over Golf Nazionale home to the Italian Golf Federation and host to the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup and Challenge Tour Open event.

We are proud to announce that our event will offer one of the biggest first prizes in Pro-Am Golf with the winner picking up a cool £6,000 for their efforts.

The Hole in One Club in association with Olinad Golf & Tours are delighted to announce this must play event, a 54 Hole Pro-Am, 2 x Rounds over Marco Simone (Ryder Cup Course) and 1 x Round over Golf Nazionale.

The Golf Courses

Marco Simone (2023 Ryder Cup Course)

In 2018, a redesign of Marco Simone Golf & Country Club was led by European Golf Design in cooperation with Tom Fazio II. The back nine was completed and reopened in October 2020 before the full 18 holes were officially completed in March 2021.

In addition, the clubhouse and practice ground has undergone further renovation which will was completed in 2022.

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, approximately 25 minutes’ drive from Rome, offers an exciting course lay-out – perfect for our Pro-Am and the dramatic match play for which the Ryder Cup is renowned – with water hazards throughout providing the risk and reward shots which will captivate golf fans for the Ryder Cup as well as the 2023 Italian Open which will take place there from May 4th -7th, 2023.

A visually appealing lay-out is combined with the beautiful natural surroundings, as well as the art and culture and the historical gems that Rome has to offer. The 1,000-year-old tower of Marco Simone’s castle greets players on the first hole, while there are also views of St Peter’s Basilica from numerous tees around the course.

Golf Nazionale 

Formerly known as Golf Club Le Querce, Golf Nazionale is situated approximately 60 kilometres to the northwest of Rome and this beautiful course is set in 60 hectares of delightful undulating land. With fairways flanked by stately oaks it’s not surprising to note that the club was known as “The Oaks” in English.

Golf Nazionale opened for play in 1990 and Jim Fazio, nephew of the great George Fazio, designed the course with a little help from Italian David Mezzacane. This is certainly a course from the amazing Fazio stable, which was set up to house the Italian Golf Federation.

Golf Nazionale, will host the Italian Challenge Tour event in July and will be in fabulous condition as it’s also due to host the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup just weeks after our Pro-Am

Grand Hotel Palatino – Just steps from the Colosseum

Our hotel for the Pro-Am is the Grand Hotel Palatino Roma which is immersed in the beauties of the eternal city, in Via Cavour, an important Via of Rione Monti district. It offers modern rooms and suites, a refined restaurant and business facilities.

Its extraordinary position, located in front of the famous Borgia staircase, allows you to quickly reach the capital’s main points of interest, such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Colle Oppio, Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore as well as Termini Station and not forgetting the convenient Metro line B ‘Cavour’ stop, a short walking distance from the hotel, allowing you to easily reach all parts of the city.

Hotel Palatino is a modern 8 storey building with 200 rooms of various types, including Prestige Rooms on the top floor from where you can enjoy a splendid view of the city. The reception and large lobby, with bar area, are on the ground floor with entrance onto Via Cavour and on the same floor are our three dining rooms.

Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with the Hole in One Club Limited and set out our respective rights and obligations.

All hotel and room upgrades are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Pro-Am Tournament fees are payable in full at the time of request

A £1500.00 deposit per team will secure your place in to the event with the final balance due on or before the 1st June 2023.

Upon receipt of entry a written confirmation will be issued.

In the event that the Pro-Am has to be cancelled due to any Covid 19 restrictions in place on travel or golf all teams will be offered alternative dates or a full refund if not wishing to continue with their booking.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all insurance, and Covid health requirements. It is your responsibility to check current regulations and if our company incurs fines or surcharges as a result of your negligence you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a resonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorisedby us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.
